The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced Valorstones, and Harbinger Crests as two currencies to upgrade gear. These can be traded at the NPCs of item upgrade rs Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item can be upgraded to the highest level for a given slot at a time. Upgrades to that slot are then less expensive afterward. The pity system that was introduced in The War Within, also reduces the extreme variance in upgrades.
Upgrades
In gaming, upgrades are replacements for components that increase performance or add new features. They can be bought or earned in a variety of ways, including through in-game events and from cash shop items.
Upgrades are only available to specific items. As opposed to enchantments, which can be added to any item they are only available to the item they are attached to. A weapon that is already equipped can't be upgraded. However, some items can be upgraded many times, bringing greater benefit to the wearer of the item.
The mechanic of upgrades is fairly new. It was introduced in patch 4.1.0. The upgrade system lets players combine additional improvements to equipment to boost its power, from simple strength boosts to massive damage and defense boosts. Upgrades are organized into tracks and each track has its own limits on how high an item can be upgraded. These limits are meant to stop players from going through low-keystone dungeons, and then upgrading their equipment all the way to.
Weapons, armor and consumables are all upgradeable. Most gear can be upgraded as it is dropped, though a few items (such as Ornn's gear, or the baby Dracolich pet) cannot be upgraded. Gear can be upgraded by purchasing an upgrade recipe from a vendor and then combining it with the item that is in the appropriate upgrade slot. The icon of the item or searching for it in the shop will show the number of upgrades that item of gear has.
The upgrade system has two major disadvantages. First, it's sometimes difficult to tell what items are eligible for upgrade because upgrade vendors may not display them all. In addition, upgrade textures are rendered above the model of the item, which could obscure enchantment glints and other details.
The other drawback is that upgrades are expensive. Each step up a gear's upgrade level will cost a certain number of Valorstones and crests, depending on the item's slot and item level. Weapons typically require more crests and Valorstones to upgrade than bracers or gloves for instance. There are however, some items in the cash shop that can reduce the cost of upgrading.
Recycle
In the wake of growing awareness of how single-use items and inefficient habits contribute to environmental degradation many people are changing their shopping practices. Many are opting for high-end items that last longer, or using their old gadgets as a substitute. Others are prioritizing recycled items and seeking out the highest recycled content in their purchases. This trend will hopefully help reduce the amount of resources required to produce and extract new materials, and create a more sustainable environment.
Recycling is an integral element of this process and it has become easier for consumers to find. Many products, like furniture and paper, contain recycled material. This means that they're made from recycled or scrap materials, and it's easy to buy recycled products online or at the store. In addition to helping the environment and reducing waste, these products are usually cheaper than comparable products.
As an item progresses in, it receives additional bonuses in addition to its main stat gain. These bonuses differ based on the item's tier, and may come in different forms. The higher the tier, the more bonuses you'll receive.
More companies are taking on producing greener products as the global economy shifts away from resource extraction and towards recycling and reusing. Many of them are focused on recycling materials and offering incentives for customers to recycle their goods. As the demand for sustainable products grows we can expect to see more recycled products in shops and on the shelves.
Rerolls
In Genshin Impact - or any gacha game for that matter Rerolling is an essential tool. It allows players to try their chances of obtaining a particular weapon or character that they either prefer due to aesthetic reasons or simply because they think that it will fit on their team.
Rerolls work by allowing players to refresh their items available in the current wave in exchange for a small amount of materials. The cost of these weapons rise depending on the number of rerolls within rows increases, however certain items might not be available in any way (for instance weapons that are melee is not available to characters who can only use weapons that are ranged).
As an item increases in stats it enters the Staple Pool where it gains additional bonuses. These are based on the kind of item it is. For instance an upgrade that increases the weapon's primary stat will also boost its additional stat. If the item is rerolled, the extras will be altered.

When a player is in enough stamina for the reroll, they can press a button with circular arrows to swap their current item for a new one. The new item is of the same level, but different bonuses based on the type of item it was, such as an item from a gun, book, sword or watch.
Rerolling doesn't reset an item's current bonus levels, but a player may still be required to meet minimum stat requirements for its special ability. It isn't easy to obtain an item of high-level with the bonus you want, but this allows them to test a different option in the future without spending any more resources.
Leveling up an item doesn't just improve its extra bonuses - it will also give the item a tier boost, meaning that it will be guaranteed to receive a certain amount of bonus statistics when upgraded in the future. It is important to upgrade your gear as far as you can, as future upgrades will not have any effect on.
Sets
A set is a group of items connected by a property. They are frequently utilized in maths and are often represented as . Sets have a number of significant properties, like the associative property and commutative property. These properties are crucial for understanding how sets work and can be used in real-world applications.
Sets of items can be upgraded to gain extra bonuses in the game. For example, a set of armor pieces could give an increase to the armor's defense, while a weapon can offer an additional damage base. These additional stats are applied after the base stat and before flats and percentages. The additional stats can be a great way to enhance the value of an item.
When upgrading an item, it will replace the base stat with the upgraded stat. For instance an item with 20 base damage now has 40 base damage. It will also preserve the previous armor value and upgrade requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase an item of the highest quality at a low cost.
Upgrades of exclusive items can be extremely profitable, especially if they have an interesting mod. A rare belt that has +5 IAS, for example could have a significant impact on a build's power particularly in the early stages of hell. It's also a great option to increase the value of a unique item by injecting it with a high or perfect roll.
Item Upgraders function differently for set, unique and rare items. Typically, the item will be upgraded to a new type once it has been upgraded to level 10. A unique upgrade of an armor item with maximum defense will result in a similar base type for an elite armor item. This is not a guaranteed result, and there are occasions when an upgrade won't alter the type of the base item.
It is recommended to upgrade your BiS (Best in Slot) before moving on to non-BiS, items. This will provide the player with an established base to build on when they are leveling up. Then, they can focus on advancing tiers and gaining additional stats.
